"Venezuelan-Canadian Conference on Natural Gas Business Opportunities" Caracas, March 9-10, 1999.

Purpose:Reaffirm the opening of the natural gas industry to private domestic and foreign sector participation. Discuss the multiplier effect of natural gas on the national economy and how gas can become the country’s new growth industry, using Canada’s gas industry as a successful model. Present current policies, business opportunities and the new gas development project. Discuss schemes for financing gas projects and adding value to gas via processing and intensive utilization. Hold small parallel exposition on Canadian Natural Gas Technologies, Services and Equipment.

Purpose:Raise the public profile of the AVPG.
Launch the opening of the Natural Gas industry to private domestic and foreign sector participation. Provide a public platform for open discussion of potential gas business opportunities and the legal and regulatory framework required to make the opening a long-term success.
