The Venezuelan Gas Processors Association (AVPG), the Gas Processors Association (GPA), cordially invite you to participate in the XVIII INTERNATIONAL GAS CONVENTION to be held at the Tamanaco Hotel in Caracas, May 27 to 29, 2008. Under The motto "Natural Gas, Energy for development & Integration".

For our XVIII Convention, we expect some 300 to 600 delegates to attend, with the active participation of prominent national and international speakers from the natural gas industry and related energy fields.

We want you to joint us during May 2008 to share AVPG’s relevant experience during the ongoing process of the natural gas industry development in Venezuela, and its perspectives.

  • Disseminate and exchange leading-edge technological information on natural gas processing and related activities.

  • Show new advances in applied technologies, the state of the art in design, construction, operation & maintenance of natural gas facilities, and the convergence of gas with other industries and business.

  • Expand current knowledge on the giant natural gas resource base of Venezuela, and present its real potential as a global supply source, in terms of the trends and perspectives of international geopolitics.

  • Present in detail the National Gas Plan of Venezuela, and the portfolio of business opportunities available for private investors.

  • Promote the growth in Venezuela of a private natural gas industry with world class capability and competitiveness, with emphasis on massive gas distribution on a national scale.

  • Discuss the necessary evolution of legal, regulatory and fiscal frameworks towards achieving a modern and globalized national market, key to developing our local private gas sector.

The Venezuelan Gas Processors Association (AVPG) announces the Call for Papers for its "XVIII International Gas Convention" to be held in Caracas, May 27 to 29, 2008.
